An alternative, dual or additional therapeutic provision for children in YEAR 4 to YEAR 6. Aimed at children with high anxiety, low self-esteem or those who require a less rigid approach. Children must be aged 8 or over to attend. Children are not accompanied by their parents but there are good cafes nearby if parents need to be close. 9:45 – 12:45 (3 hours) available on a Tuesday & Thursday charged at £60 per morning plus VAT. A maximum of 6 hours available priced at £120 plus VAT. Qualified teachers and therapists. Very small groups - maximum of 8 places per session.
Included in the price is all equipment, resources, online registration for a maths and English programme which you can also log in and use at home, daily diary filled in for each child so parents can see how they’ve been getting on. Homework sheets are also provided for those who would like to extend their sessions. Parents also gain access to the support services available through Arun Court School such as phone consultations with well-being and therapy staff. A progress report each term is also included. Provision is available term time only, 38 weeks per year.
This provision takes place in ‘The Bramley Learning Hub’. The college provision using the building at other times during the week is not on site during these sessions and the front 'lending library' area is closed - there is no access to the general public during these sessions, and parents must follow our strict drop off and collection procedures to ensure student safety.
Game2Learn is an outreach service associated with Arun Court School staff and run by Big Bear Bespoke Education Ltd but it is not a registered primary school. Attendance at GAME2LEARN does not alter the admissions policy at Arun Court School and can’t be viewed as a ‘feeder’ to the school.
