Secondary = notional content of the curriculum for students in years 7 to 10
Primary = notional content of curriculum for students in years 5 and 6
Bespoke = Samples of content and case studies relating to students in year 11 and beyond
All our curriculum documentation should be considered as 'notional' as students come to us not performing at their chronological age, often being both significantly below and significantly above in various areas. Students come to us requiring a very heavy therapy input initially, so will not be accessing more than 20% of the educational curriculum at the start of their time with us and this will gradually increase to 100% as their health improves.
At GCSE we create bespoke curriculums currently for our tuition clients, and this is likely to continue even when we are able to offer more hours as a registered school. We cannot say that every student in year 11 will be covering 'X' during the spring term for example, as every student with us at this age will have joined us later in their school career and may only be with us for 12 months. They will need to have 1:1 tuition and therapy based on an initial assessment of what they have already covered and understood in their previous setting, and where their academic gaps are, as well as what their often very high level of therapy needs are. We do however ensure that they have covered the requirements of the exam board, the content of which are on the exam board websites.
The above is further enhanced by the additional PSME 'Philosophy, Sociology, Morality and Ethics' as laid down in the curriculum maps for each dual year.
In addition to the above, because art is so therapeutic, each year group curriculum map includes additional art projects and also details of visiting craftspeople.

WE WERE REGISTERED WITH OFSTED ON THE VOLUNTARY REGISTER FOR CHILDCARE, HOWEVER WE NO LONGER TAKE CHILDCARE VOUCHERS AS OF 16/05 WHEN WE CEASED OFSTED VOLUNTARY REGISTRATION AS WE NO LONGER WORK WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AGED UNDER 8.
WE ARE CURRENTLY APPLYING FOR THE LWBC TO GAIN 'SCHOOL STATUS' WITH THE DFE, AND WILL THEN BE REGISTERED WITH OFSTED UNDER THE FULL REGISTER FOR SCHOOLS.
IF YOU HAVE AN EHCP WE CAN NOT OFFER 'SCHOOL HOURS' UNTIL THIS PROCESS IS COMPLETE; YOU CAN REGISTER INTEREST HOWEVER AND WE WILL CONTACT YOU LATER IN THE YEAR IF WE HAVE ACHIEVED SCHOOL STATUS. WHILST WE AWAIT REGISTRATION LEAS WILL CONTINUE TO USE US FOR STUDENTS WITH YOUR CHILD BEING DUAL REGISTERED.
