We are a registered EXAM CENTRE able to deliver and assess Functional Skills and GCSE courses. If this is the best route for your young person they will be encouraged to think about how many GCSEs they need to get into their college placement and focus on quality, rather than quantity. Many students take 4-6 GCSE or equivalent, but there is no pressure to do so. If you need 4 to get onto the course that will return you to where you want to be, focus on getting the best grades possible for those 4.
The GCSE offer changes each year and is decided in liaison with the young people - the timetable usually allows for around 6 courses to be delivered plus additional functional skills and diploma courses.
The GCSE offer is decided from the following qualifications, all taught by specialist staff -
Art - graphic design and digital media
Art - fine arts (paint, draw, sculpt)
Art - textile
Art - photography
Maths - lower and higher
Dual science award
In the past we have faciliated music GCSE and this may be available at an additional charge
